Gwacheon National Science Museum
The Gwacheon National Science Museum offers an immersive range of science and technology experiences, featuring interactive exhibits including earthquake, aeroplane, and typhoon simulators, space camp, and a 3D theatre. The design concept was inspired by the phenomenon of a nebula, a cloud of gas and dust that leads to the formation of stars.
The main building houses permanent exhibits, six interactive exhibition halls for special exhibits, and performance and conference halls. These major spaces are housed in wings around a central distribution concourse, with a corridor leading to the planetarium. The museum was a collaboration with Samoo Architects and Samsung Engineering Corporation.
